Czech national team defeated England 2:1 in their 6th qualification match of UEFA EURO 2020. Ondrej's team won against really strong opponent and expiated loss from March, when England won on their home field 5:0. Match was played at the Sinobo Stadium where was over 18 thousand fans who supported their players and helped them to victory.
Both teams entered the match very actively. First goal was scored in the 5th minute from the penalty kick by Harry Kane. The goal response of the Czech team came soon. In the 9th Jakub Jankto played a corner kick, his standard situations are ending up like a goal very often and this time it was no different. The balloon gets into the space at the rear post, where Ondřej Čelůstka directed the ball to Jakub Brabec, who hit the ball into the net. The Czech national team continued to push and created goal opportunities until the half-time whistle. In the second half of the match England threatened from straight passes and subsequent counterattacks, but the defense of our players together with excellent Tomas Vaclik managed to maintain a balanced score. Zdenek Ondrasek was nominated to the national team for the first time. He replaced Patrik Schick in the 65th minute as a center forward. In the 85th minute Lukas Masopust founded Ondrasek who delivered ball to the left corner and decided this important match.
Ondrej Celustka played the whole match in position of the center defender, where he played all the Czech national team games this year. It was his 15th match in national jersey. The Czech team is on the second place of the qualifying group table and has curved points (12) with the leading England. Next, there will be a national friendly match with Northern Ireland, which will be played on Monday at Letná in Prague.
