Ondřej Čelůstka


  • Czech Republic national team 21 / 2 goal 2 assists

    The debut for Czech Republic came on 15 November 2013 in Olomouc in the friendly against Canada. Ondra scored his first goal in the third minute. The coach Josef Pešice used Ondra for all 90 minutes of the game.

    His second cap was won on 22 March 2017 when Ondrej played against Lithuania in a friendly in Ústí nad Labem. He assisted the third goal in a 3-0 win.

    The third cap for Ondrej came in a friendly against Belgium on 5 June 2017.

    The fourt cap for Ondrej was won in a friendly v Iceland (2-1) played on 8 November 2017 in Qatar. 

    The first cap in a competitive match was won on 13 October 2018 in UEFA Nations League against Slovakia. The eight and ninth in UEFA EURO qualifier vs England at Wembley and friendly vs Brazil in Prague. The tenth in the home game vs Bulgaria at Letná on 7 June 2019.

  • Czech Republic Under-21 18/1

    At this age Ondra was one of the key players of Czech Republic´s U21 team. The top of the career in this category came UEFA Under-21 Championship in Denmark. Ondra played in all the games up to the play-off against Belarus. He played in the defence together with his at that time Slavia team-mate Marek Suchý.

    Ondrej has also 2 caps for Czech Republic U19 and 4 caps for Czech Republic U20.


  • AC Sparta Praha since July 2020 15/1

    In July 2020 Ondra Čelůstka decided to return home to Czech Republic, he signed a contract with Sparta Prague valid till 2023. He scored his first goal after the return in 2-0 win vs FK Pardubice. His brother Tomáš played for the opponents. It was the first time brothers played against each other at the professional level.


  • Antalyaspor June 2015-July 2020 142/2 + 13 in Turkish Cup

    At the end of June 2015 Ondra returned to Turkey. He played for Antalyaspor for five years.


  • 1.FC Nűrnberg 2014-2015 31/0

    Ondrej played for Nűrnberg since August 2014 in the 2nd Bundesliga. Two Czech team-mates were part of the team: Ondřej Petrák and Jan Polák. Ondrej quickly earned a place in the starting eleven and did not miss a single game during the whole season on the post of the right defender. 

  • Sunderland AFC 2013-2014 21 starts

    On 7 August 2013 Ondra played for the first time in Premiership wearing Sunderland jersey against Fulham. Sunderland reached the final of Capital One Cup against Manchester City, but were defeated by their opponents.


  • Trabzonspor 2011-2014

    Following good display at UEFA Under-21 EURO 2011 in Denmark, Ondra accepted the offer of transfer from Slavia to Trabzonspor. Wearing Trabzon jersey Ondra made his debut in UEFA Champions League and scored his debut goal in the competition at San Siro where Trabzonspor defeated Inter.


  • US Città di Palermo 2010 a loan from SK Slavia Praha

    The loan was short and Ondra played only one game in Serie A against Bologna. After the end of the loan he returned back to red-white jersey of SK Slavia Praha.

  • SK Slavia Praha 2009_2011 41 starts/3 goals

    This was a very successful spell for Ondra, he won most of his caps for Czech Republic U21 team and was a regular member of starting XI. He played as a right back as well as a central defender. For the first time Ondra also played in UEFA Europa League.


  • FC Tescoma Zlín 2007-2009 24 caps/ 3 goals

    Ondra grew up in Zlin, where he started playing football at the age of 7. His father Rudolf also played for the club from Ondra´s hometown. Ondra played the first match in the Czech league against Most on 10 May 2008. In the following season he earned a permanent place in the starting eleven and scored his first ever league goal in the game against FK Teplice in April 2009. One of the most memorable moments is the victory against AC Sparta Praha on 10 May. Ondra scored the winner in a 2-1 win.
